Projects We Fund

The Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (NW CASC) funds science through three primary mechanisms: 1) supporting research projects through directed funding, 2) selecting and funding research projects through occasional Requests for Proposals, and 3) supporting the training and education of graduate students who conduct research at universities throughout the Northwest. NW CASC-funded scientists are required to work closely with natural and cultural resource managers to develop scientific products that will inform key management decisions. In this way we help ensure that the science we fund is co-produced and actionable, serving to better prepare our region for future environmental change.
